The zine maps a territory between quantum physics and analogue photography — not as analogy or illustration, but as an argument that the two share structural principles. Superposition and the latent image. Collapse and development. The observer effect and chemical intervention. In each case, a system exists in a state of potential until something irreversible happens to it.
The publication combines theoretical text, mordançage imagery, and conceptual diagrams that trace these connections. It is not a process manual or a portfolio — it functions closer to an essay in printed form, working through the ideas that underpin the Entangled Shadows exhibition series.
Printed by risograph at If By Magic Oy in medium blue and fluorescent pink, each copy hand-folded. The risograph's mechanical registration drift means no two copies are identical — an appropriate production method for a publication about systems that resist exact repetition.
Distribution
The zine circulates through exhibitions, art swaps, independent bookstores, and direct exchange. First edition printed June 2025.
